Is this the first day of spring?

Winter in Utah is off by a couple months. Our coldest months are January and February. But I was hoping that the first week of the new year we would be up to at least 20 degrees. Right now it is only 4 degrees, and it's not getting any warmer. Two weeks ago the temperature dropped to -29 degrees. It hasn't been this cold in years! Where is this global warming everyone is talking about, because it needs to come here for a couple weeks. All of these people say that global warming is bad, but if the polar ice caps melt then Utah will finally have a beach. I don't see what's so wrong with that, Do you?
